Newcomers Explore and Appreciate Toronto (NEAT)

As part of the mentorship program, NEAT is designed to help newcomers gain hands-on ‘Canadian experience’ in event planning and social media marketing. Through NEAT, you will explore and learn about Toronto’s diverse neighborhoods, free events and activities and organize events that are open to the public. No experience is needed in event planning or social media marketing. If you are interested in history, architecture, guided tours and outdoor activities, willing to travel within Toronto and are able to adjust with changing needs from online platform to in-person and vice versa to fulfill your program commitment, this is the opportunity for you!

NEAT volunteer groups are working on organizing some interesting events throughout the summer/fall and in the winter. Depending on covid-19 guidelines, most events may take place virtually via zoom.
