Manager, Finance

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager, Finance will work closely with the Executive and Management team. The Manager, Finance is responsible for financial management and accounting function of the agency, inter-alia, day-to-day financial operations, reporting, payroll and benefits administration, statutory compliance as well as developing, managing and monitoring organizational/program budgets, fundraising projects, and ensuring overall organizational effectiveness in financial and accounting functions. The successful candidate is a pro‐active problem solver and works effectively as both a leader and a team member, responsible for stewarding relationships with diverse funders and stakeholders.

Manager – Special Projects

The Manager is responsible for spearheading and leading special projects and successful implementation of specialized programs and services, and is committed to achieving time-based outcomes through effective planning, mentoring, guiding and supporting the teams. Also responsible for leading and monitoring performance and implementing an effective feedback system to meet and exceed the agency’s strategic goals related to quality service provision, accountability and equity. Integrating Indigenous programming is a crucial step towards fostering understanding and building meaningful connections between newcomers and Indigenous communities. However, it’s essential to approach this endeavor with care and respect for the unique perspectives and experiences of Indigenous peoples. To deliver decolonized Indigenous programming effectively, it is imperative that the systems and spaces involved undergo a thorough decolonial process themselves. Proven experience in specialized programs and/or training (i.e. Diversity & Inclusion, anti-racism and anti-oppression models.) for working with employees and clients from diverse backgrounds as well as strong conflict resolution skills are critical for the role’s success.

Program Worker – ON Indigenous Land

The ON Indigenous Land project aims to increase awareness of Canada’s cultural diversity and issues affecting full participation in society and the economy, related to culture, ethnicity and/or religion, and to increase capacity within communities to address racism and discrimination. The Program Worker will recruit 60 racialized youth to participate in the project. Working with Indigenous-led organizations, the Program Worker will deliver training programs to support participants to craft their personal Land Acknowledgment and engage them in community mobilization. The project will culminate with knowledge sharing including a theatre performance by program participants.

Program Worker – IT Security Bridge Training Project

CultureLink’s IT Security Bridge Training project assists newcomer professionals with an IT background in finding and retaining employment, by providing CISSP training, mentoring, networking opportunities, help with resumes and interviews, and insight into the Canadian workplace and job strategies. The Program Worker works in a team to plan, promote, carry out and document program activities.

Program Worker, Youth Employment and Skill Strategy (YESS)

Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS) will provide employment related settlement services for youth ages 15-30. In collaboration with the Youth Program team, the Program Worker will provide services including promotion and outreach, needs assessment and referrals, information & orientation, employment related workshops, individual coaching, job placement support, job retention support, facilitating and monitoring mentoring matches.

Program Worker, Bike Hub

The CultureLink Bike Hub provides free access to bicycle parts and tools, support from experienced bike mechanics, and workshops and training on bike repair. Funded by the City of Toronto as a Community Reduce and Reuse Program, the CultureLink Bike Hub fosters a culture of repair and reuse among residents who may be vulnerable and marginalized.
