With a strong background in IT, Daldrid knew he had the technical knowledge to succeed. However, the Canadian job market felt unfamiliar. What he lacked was an understanding of how the local industry works, what employers look for, and how to build the right professional connections. Below, he shares his experience in his own words.

I reached out to CultureLink because I wanted to enhance my IT background and transition into the cybersecurity field here in Canada. I was specifically drawn to their Cybersecurity Training Program because it combines technical training for the ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate with essential Canadian career development, such as networking with industry experts and mastering the local job market.

While I have technical experience, I realized I needed to better understand the Canadian IT landscape and build a professional network. CultureLink’s program stood out to me because it offered direct mentorship from IT professionals and specific training on navigating the local industry, which I believe was a critical ‘bridge’ for my career breakthrough in 2026.
