Newcomer Mental Health Program

Making Mental Health Services more accessible to the needs of diverse newcomer communities.

Sometimes all you need is an ear to listen
and a heart to understand.

Migration can be a very stressful life event. Moving to another country comes with a lot of anxiety and unexpected challenges. Looking for a new job, finding a home and making new friends are among the hardest tasks in a newcomer’s settlement process. With every new beginning -but especially when starting a new life- a hurricane of emotions arise inside. New Canadians want nothing more than to find and hold their ground. It is in moments like these when there is no greater feeling than having someone to turn to. That’s where CultureLink comes in.

Our Newcomer Mental Health Program was designed with the purpose of extending a helping hand to all newcomers. Whether struggling with something or simply in need of someone to talk to, we are here to listen and provide information to empower their decisions. The program’s main focus is to guide newcomers in the right direction and help them find the answers they need.

What we offer
