Holiday Season celebration at Mimico Centennial Library

The Christmas celebration organized by Library Settlement Partnerships Program at Mimico Centennial Library was a great success and fun for newcomer families who enjoyed the holiday spirit in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. About 200 newcomers including 90 children from toddlers to teenagers came to celebrate Holiday Season together at the decorated party space with amazing gingerbread house and Christmas tree forest on stage.
Kids enjoyed games, puppet show and participated at the Christmas ornament workshop together with their parents. Entertainment, food, music and especially Santa’s surprise appearance made everyone happy. All children were welcomed to take a picture with Santa Claus and to receive wonderful presents provided by CP24 Christmas Wish Toy Drive and our generous sponsors.

We would like to express our great appreciation for all donations contributed by our fifteen sponsors that made newcomer kids so happy and this event possible.
The Christmas event at Mimico Library would not have been successful without active participation and help of 30 volunteers who helped to prepare and coordinate the event.
Thanks to everyone and we will see you next year at the Mimico Centennial Library!
