This year’s volunteer appreciation event – Proud to be, A Mentor Summit, held on March 9, 2016 at CultureLink brought together over 30 mentors and guests. This was an occasion for Mentors to introduce their responsibilities of their role as part of the program, to family and friends by inviting them to join in the festivities and hear the details of what is involved with being a mentor.
A wonderful evening of celebration involving storytelling of their volunteering experiences, networking with peers, and their positive experiences with various staff at CultureLink and building a group puzzle (Volunteers Are The Hear and the Soul of the Mentorship Program) spelling out what their participation represents to their mentees and Culturelink.
The evening was food and fun filled evening concluding a memento travel mug and ceramic mug handed out to all who attended.
