We have always recognized the importance of art programs for children and youth who are settling as newcomers in Canada. During the pandemic we changed the way we delivered these initiatives, making the most of online platforms and technology to maintain these services.
We are now in the process of evolving our innovative arts programming with the help of some research. We want to understand if the changes we made during the pandemic were helpful for you as clients, workers and partners of CultureLink. We are gathering feedback on what’s worked, what hasn’t and what’s important in our arts initiatives. This will help us design even better innovative arts programming going forward.
Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada has provided funding for this confidential study to assess technology needs and provide better program design and access for newcomer families moving forward. If you have any questions or would like to see a short presentation about the study, please contact Christina at cchu@culturelink.ca or Shahnaz at skhan@culturelink.ca.
Our arts programs are on hold during this research. When the program restarts, children and youth of newcomer families will once again enjoy creative programs while building friendships and learning about other cultures.
