Find a Job

Are you new to the country? Having difficulties finding employment? Don’t know how you can obtain the Canadian experience? Or how to create a cover letter or resume? LMAP & YOES may be able to help. We also have mentoring programs and one-on-one support that can help you in your job searching needs.

CultureLink’s Labour Market Assistance (LMAP) Program is designed to help newcomers integrate into the Canadian workforce through individual and group employment counselling. There is a strong focus on personalized help to decide on, search for, find and keep a job through one-to-one meetings with employment specialists who are familiar with newcomer experiences and issues.  In addition, we present group workshops on key topics that are of concern to immigrants, such as knowledge of Canadian workplace culture, local job requirements and job search methods.

We also have the Youth Online Employment Strategy (YOES)

YOES  is an innovative pre-employment program designed to teach youth ages 15-29 how to market themselves in today’s digital world.  Through step-by-step instruction, youth in this program learn how to build professional digital profiles, create new-media based resumes, develop networking skills and explore careers through our career networking events.

CultureLink’s Cybersecurity Training Program offers internationally-trained professionals with an understanding of information technology the opportunity to get basic training that will enable them to pursue their own preferred specialty in Cybersecurity.  Participants will get free cybersecurity training, mentoring, networking opportunities, help with resumes and interviews, insight into the Canadian workplace and job strategies they can use to find jobs in their field.
