Community Partners and Locations

To enhance program activities, SWIS engages with many partner organizations to bring numerous arts-based and outdoor-based activities to our participants. Among these partners is Soulpepper-CultureLink New Canadian Welcome Program as well as their Youth Link school-based activities, Project Canoe, Amici Charities and Kids Up Front Foundation.

SWIS Schools

CultureLink’s SWIS Program currently has staff at 46 schools in the South-West area of Toronto in the catchment area Cluster Five. This area reaches to the west border Etobicoke, south to Lake Ontario, north almost to St. Clair and east to the Don Valley River. Primary service schools have a SWIS staff on-site for a minimum of one day per week to respond to the need for settlement services among newcomer families and youth. In addition to these TDSB and TCDSB schools, SWIS also provide itinerant services to over 90 schools.
